Small cuvées, big questions

I’m Samuel. I make wine in the city, in small batches, with a lot of curiosity. I never sell my cuvées. Instead, I write about my experiments, my mishaps and what I learn on my blog.

About

I’m Samuel, and I make my own wine

Winemaking has fascinated me since I was a teenager. I don’t come from a family of winemakers, but turning something as simple as grapes into something as complex as wine has always interested me.

One phone call later to Véronique, my “winemaking mentor,” and I was on the plot she managed, harvesting four Québec hybrid grape varieties. Our first cuvée, a lightly sparkling rosé, was called astrofizz: a nod to our takeoff. This site is, in a way, a personal notebook where I document my cuvées and what I learn.
